Description: We finally got our first ripe fig since planting our fig tree orchard out in soil. The variety is Improved Celeste and turns out to be one of the earliest ripening, hardiest figs out there. I don't know what they had to do to improve it but they did a fantastic job. This fig tree is a definite keeper in my zone, 8b. This fig tree is growing beautifully and producing tons of figs. Best part is, it's ripening at the right time. What a great little fruit tree to have on your property! Looking forward to seeing this fig tree mature.
